This past weekend I attended the West Coast World Martial Arts Association Boot Camp and Black Belt Reunion and was inspired by the numbers of new members that continually join our organization. There were people from all over the country there to learn and share ideas of success on growing and building their students, their curriculum and their families through the martial arts. I had a chance to listen to government officials talking about the power and influence the martial arts has on our society and how it helps young people to grow and learn in a positive environment and how that is a unique situation in today’s world. I also listened to motivational speakers address the association on the responsibilities we have as martial arts school owners to bring encouragement and hope to people and to instill upon the belief that anything is possible with a commitment to excellence! Wow! Overall, I have to say that I am soooooo proud of this organization and their impact on not only the students we have the privilege to serve but also on our communities. To be able to bring community leaders and CEO’s of major corporations and motivational speakers together to acknowledge the contribution we are making as martial artists was inspiring. I can’t wait to see where we are next year!
