Tip of the Week:
I have been contemplating a new diet plan for the last month that I think could have some good results for years to come. At the beginning of this year my Church did this “No Carb” fast that I participated in and felt great! I am planning on trying to do this on a more consitent small scale. Here is my plan:
- 2 days of “no carb” eating: That means no sweets, breads, pastas, etc… This does mean lots of greens, meats, and beans.
- 1 day “carbs”: Now this doesn’t mean go crazy with the sweets. My intention is to each “good” carbs while still getting the proteins and EFA’s for a complete diet. So, brown rice, whole grain breads and pastas and some select fruits are “A” okay!
- 1 gallon of water each day. No problem in this hot weather!
And if this works out, I may even throw in a “no carb” fast for 1 week every other month.
